I ordered a pair of Church's in their sale, when they arrived they were 'subs'. I immediately contacted Edward Meeks who could not be more apologetic; they are what they had received from Church. Not only did they order me a new pair from Church direct (honouring the sale price) but they ordered in a colour they'd sold out of and refunded my postage. You can only judge an online retailer by how they deal with issues. Edward Meeks are first class and I will be back.
The whole order process was excellent. The goods arrived very promptly in packaging that was in very good condition. An added bonus was the complimentary shoe horn and pair of socks. What a lovely touch! Well done indeed.

Edward Meeks was established in 1901 by my great grandfather Edward Meeks. He ran away from home at the age of 16 with just a shilling in his pocket and boarded a train to Ashton-Under-Lyne. Edward managed to get a job as a sales assistant in a shoe shop, in Ashton, and eventually saved enough money to start his own shop, shown below. He became very involved in the local community and was awarded Alderman of the town. Today the business is run by myself John, and my sister, the 4th generation of the Meeks family.
